thanks for the comments on my mai-hime review. i agree the art is not that bad at all, but they said to be harsher on the grading so i gave it a five because the art was "typical". anyways, take care = )

I want to thank you for your kind comments on my Monster review! I agree with you that I may have rated the art a bit low, but I left a comment on the review explaining my reasoning. MT2 is making me look bad I guess :-)

I can't wait to see how Monster ends. Thanks again!

Haha, the manga of the Hana Yori Dango was great. It was, I think, the best out of the three. Also, Japan is currently running their own Live Action of Hana Yori Dango! So far, I've seen the first ep. It's not bad~~

Quote by akikaGood review, I'd have given about the same ratings. It's one of the best OVAs I've seen, but I'd have prefered a different ending XD although the one we're given is also ok I guess, just makes it less happy~
It does portray human behaviour quite well, I was quite shocked at Asaba's change of attitude towards Iriya. I wouldn't have liked it as much if there were lots of battle scenes. The way it's set out makes it more enjoyable.

^^ Thanx for the comment on my review. Sry for taking so long to reply. I haven't been logging on for 2 weeks.
Yeah, I also wouldn't like the OVA as much if there were too many fight scenes. The drama is what make it so great.

Have a nice day ~RainOfStars~

Hi! Thanks a lot for your comment on my review. I'm glad you enjoyed it towards the end. I did too. ^^ I've seen a couple of eps of the Taiwanese Live Drama, but I think they cut short the plot a little, and because of cultural reasons as well as the settings, there are some differences, but from what I've seen of the Taiwanese version, it's pretty good.
Hope to see you around sometime! :)

Quote by akikaI quite like your review, but I'd have given the story/character a lot higher than you've given it. I thought characters were developed really well, and since I normally really like English type movies anyway, I thought the story reflected the olden day English society quite accurately. (I'm not sure if Indian princes would visit all the time though)..
The ending was not very satisfying, but it does reflect real life I think. Things like that happen heaps in real life I'd imagine, and it's very difficult for people from different classes to get married.
I do hope however that there'd be a sequel though, it didn't feel like it has really ended..

Thanks for the comment :)

My ratings are based on the "old" ranking system, which didn't have letter "grades" assigned to them. A 5, 6, or 7 is a perfectly good rank, as higher (and lower) values were thought of to be the extreme ends of the scale. I rarely give out 9's and 10's, as I feel they represent nearly true perfection ;) Similarly, 1's and 2's are for the absolutely abysmal (haven't given any of those yet).

I've been meaning to read the manga that the series was based on, though I never could find the motivation to get myself started...

Hello! Thanks for replying in my review. I really like the series of Fruits Basket too, and I agree, there should be a sequel! Atleast, it shouldn't be over! I almost cried cause I didn't want it to end XD ...I know I'm stupid. Actually I've thought about writing the creator of the series a letter! Ah well, thanks for commenting! I really appreciate it! :)

Quote by akikaI've never played the game, but as soon as I saw the preview of it on TV, I fell in love with the artwork....I really really hope they make it into an anime...since I don't have a gamecube....Even though I haven't played the game, I'd probably rate the graphics higher than that hahaha..but not sure how I'd rate it if I had played it.

On Animenewsnetwork.com, it actually said that the people are acutally gonna make an anime out of it. Either way, I'm excited too. :D Then again, I've played the game so yeah. But yay for people being excited about it as well. :)

Quote by akikaI really liked the OVA when I first watched it. Haven't read the manga. However, the TV version was a bit of a let down I thought...because it dragged on a bit and the story was changed...>_< The story was so good in the OVA! Maybe I was being a bit biased..
TV version is still good though, still worth watching.
That's some detailed review though ^^ well done~!

thanx :D

the OVA is pretty good, the story was changed in the OVA, to keep it within the 5 ep constraint and it was more or less made as a standalone, and with the manga not even finished, even back then they had to create something, you really should read the manga, pm me for details ;)

The TV series was going from the manga and using material from that, and id expect more to come in the future, when that will be who knows

Quote by akikaReally good review ^^ I can never remember the full names of characters. haha
But I really like this anime, it's very light hearted and promotes people to make bread! I have yet to try some of the methods that they teach you during the show. The music is good too.
Although I think Azuma's character is getting a bit too 'repetitive'..like they over emphasise how naive and wonderful at making bread he is....but it's still a wonderful anime~

Ahaha yeh i agree...but the fact that azumas character is like tat is to exaggurate the fact that its about bread...therefore making it more funny and silly :P I love yakiate japan XD! Anyways i really appreciate ur comment...i hope u dont mind me adding u to my friendlisy ^^
